The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Pocketskills App is available for learners at Â鶹´«Ã½AV centres.
It is free to download and contains subject information to support learners on various Â鶹´«Ã½AV qualifications.

Q.What do I do if I have a problem?
If you have any problems within the App try these steps:
- Close the app and restart
- Restart your device
- Uninstall the app and reinstall

Q.What smart device can I download the app onto?
For iOS (Apple) operating systems, the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Pocketskills app requires iOS 12 or above and a minimum of 14MB of storage. As for Android, the app needs at least Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or above and a minimum of 20MB of storage.
Q.I’ve forgotten my login details; how do I reset my password?
Click on forgotten password on the login screen and follow the instructions to reset your password.
Q.How can I see which tests I’ve already completed?
From the main page of the App, click the History icon in the top right and you will see the tests you have taken and your result.
Q.What happens when I click 'Finish Test'?
You will see the questions you have answered and those which have not yet been answered. Click 'submit' to finish the test or cancel to continue answering questions.
Q.How can I stop a test before the end and still check my answers?
Click the 'Finish Test' button at the bottom of the screen and then click submit to see your result.
Q.How do I navigate between one question and the next?
Use the 'next' or 'back' buttons in the bottom corners of your screen.
Q.How do I know which tests I should practice?
Ask your tutor if you are unsure which tests to complete.
Q.How do I check my results?
When you click 'Finish Test' and then 'Submit' you will automatically be taken to the Results screen where you can see how you did overall and also your performance against different subject content.
Q.What does 'analysis' mean on the results screen?
This gives you your overall result for the test and shows the number of correct and incorrect unanswered questions. You will also see your time taken if you have timed test enabled in profile settings.
Q.What does 'Detailed Feedback' mean on the results screen?
This screen shows how you performed against different areas of the subject content.
Q.What does 'answers' mean on the results screen?
This is where you can review each question from the test and see the correct answer as well as what you answered.
Q.Can I send my results to myself?
Yes. Click the Email Results button in the results screen immediately after you finish your test and enter your email address.
Q.Can I send my results to my Tutor?
Yes. Click the Email Results button in the results screen immediately after you finish your test and enter their email address.
Q.Can I email my results later?
No. Because we don’t collect data about your app usage you can only email your result from the results screen immediately after completing your test. So if you think you might need to review your test later we suggest always emailing your result.
Q.How do I see the correct answers for the questions I got wrong?
In the 'results' screen, select the 'answers' tab.
Q.How do I know how long it took me to complete the test?
In the results screen under the analysis tab. You will only see the time taken if the 'timed test' is on in your profile settings.
Q.Apart from tests what else can I see in the App?
You can access Â鶹´«Ã½AV News and we also have a range of mathematical formulas
Q.What are the Mathematical Formulas?
These are provided to help you revise for Â鶹´«Ã½AV assessments involving maths. Use the formulas to make the right calculations, and you can check your work by clicking on the calculator and entering your measurements.
The mathematical formulas may also prove useful for those working in construction or other occupations to calculate areas, volumes etc.
Q.Do I need to pay for tests?
Some tests are provided for free, and some will require a small payment to access. This is clearly indicated as either 'free' or 'paid' when you click on a category. Once you have purchased tests, they will be available to you to take as many times as you require. Tests which you have paid for will show as 'purchased'.
Q.How do I purchase tests?
You will do this through an in-app purchase. You need a payment card linked to your App Store or Google Play account to make in-app purchases. If you are not the bill payer, please gain their permission before making any purchases.
Q.How much is a test?
This varies. Click the test you are interested in, and your app store will display the payment amount. You can confirm your payment method and buy the test or cancel without purchasing.
